    ABOUT MONEY TRAIN

Money Train is an American hip hop duo based out of the United Kingdom .The group consists of LA native Caligrafi and Seattle , Washington- born Reese the Ruler (formerly known as Young Gooch). Money Train's musical style is equal parts soul, pop and funk with elements of trip hop and house music and has quite often been compared to the likes of Outkast due to their originality and artistic content.

Their debut album, "Same Track, Different Train" was released online  in  2007 [listen here]. Much of the growth of the group’s notoriety in England's growing underground market can be attributed to this body of work. Singles like "Grind Season" and "Star Struck" were crowd favorites in the club circuit.   However, it was the follow-up single and video for "Blades Choppin", which sampled Eurhythmics' commercial breakthrough song ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)' that expanded the group's exposure past the local scene.  Money Train controlled the stage at clubs like Soultree (Cambridge), Sonic (Norwich) and events such as Poetry N Motion (London), and were invited by DJ@WAR to debut at Club Innocence (Newmarket).

Back on Track is the groups' second album, released in May 2008. This album exhibits more of a futuristic hip hop sound which will further establish the groups within the international market and increase their fan base. Stand out record’s "Bounce" and "Come and Get Me" received great reviews when they were debuted on KISS 106 FM as well as BBC radio Bristol . Money Train also garnered a remix of the hit single "Ringtone". In its original form "Ringtone" made it to #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Single Sales chart.

  The group has opened for Platinum selling rap duo ‘Ying Yang Twins’" and Legendary DJ/Producer ‘DJ Scratch’. They also headlined the widely recognized Jumpoff TV show hosted by Total Kiss FM's Manny Norte in June 2008. Currently scheduled to open up go platinum Def Jam artist, ‘Chingy’ for both of his UK dates.Money Train's popularity is steadily increasing due to their streak of Live Performances and their new hit single "Same Ol' Thang".

As one of London's self proclaimed rap artists my career spans almost over 15 years. During this time Ive produced, recorded, released and independently distributed two CD Albums:What do u know about CYRUS? (1999) and ECLIPSE (2005), performed at various live showcases, appeared on CHANNEL 4 ,MTV,CHANNEL U and TROUBLE TV. I currently have a video (IMADGIN) now showing on cable TV ,YOU TUBE and a selection of other online sites. Last year I received a album review from HHC(hip-hop connection magazine) due to popular demand this then led to a full page spread on CYRUS DA VIRUS. Just before Christmas 2006 I did a interview on BBC radio 1 with DJ TIM WESTWOOD. My music even though hip-hop is very original with a raw London influence and all songs are of a positive nature.
